The course and certificate
How long does the course take?+
Most people finish the eight modules and the assessment in about 30 minutes. You can stop and come back at any time.
Can I study before paying?+
Yes. The course and the assessment are free. You only pay A$39 if you pass and want your certificate.
When do I get my certificate?+
Straight after payment. You can download the PDF on screen, and a copy is emailed to you.
What mark do I need to pass?+
16 out of 20 (80%). If you don't pass, you can review the modules and try again as many times as you like.
How can an employer check my certificate?+
Every certificate has a unique ID. Employers enter it on our verification page to confirm your name, course and completion date.
Is this course accredited?+
No. This is a non-accredited infection control awareness course. It is not a nationally recognised qualification and is not HLTINF006 or any other unit of competency. Many employers accept awareness training for induction and refresher purposes, but requirements vary, so check with your employer if you're unsure.
What if something goes wrong?+
If your name is wrong on the certificate, you can't access it, or you were charged incorrectly, email support@infectioncontrolacademy.com.au and we'll fix it. See our refund policy for details.
Payment and support
How do I pay?+
By card through Stripe's secure checkout (Apple Pay and Google Pay appear where your device supports them). The certificate costs A$39 including GST.
I paid but didn't get the email. What now?+
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it isn't there, email support@infectioncontrolacademy.com.au with the name and email you used and we'll resend it.
My name is wrong on the certificate.+
Email support@infectioncontrolacademy.com.au with your certificate ID and the correct spelling and we'll fix it.
Can my employer pay for a group?+
Yes. For five or more staff, email support@infectioncontrolacademy.com.au and we'll arrange an invoice.
